Review | Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation

I dont know about you guys but I have seen this Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation everywhere! All over instagram and YouTube. I have such an obsession with foundations lately and I always want to try the knewest ones on the market, so I picked this one up in Dunnes Store a couple of weeks ago now for around €7 or less!

About the Foundation
The new wet n wild high-performing, skin-perfecting foundation underwent a major road testing under seven different photo lighting conditions to deliver flawless camera-ready makeup each time. It is specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin that no filtered finish. It is also light-adjusting so it will prevent a white cast in photos.

Packaging & Applicator

I really like the packaging of this Foundation, it comes in a small glass bottle (it's actually a nice size). The applicator is like a little spatula (see pictures below) which I was not to sure about at first but it is works so well for applying the foundation straight onto the skin, so you don't need to pour it out onto a mixing palette or onto your brush.

Coverage, texture & colour

As I said above I got this in dunnes stores and the only colours they had out on the stand were all of the Ivory shades so I'm assuming that they either did not have any other shades or they sold out. Because of all the hype surrounding it I just got one that would match me without any tan (which by the way I rarely don't have tan on) and I got nude ivory, the colour matches me perfectly when I don't have any tan on at all because I am as white as a ghost. It's a great colour for very pale girls, I never allow myself to be pale but this Foundation has changed all of that now!
This Foundation has a medium to buildable full coverage and it is a water based Foundation so because of that once you build it up it doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the skin.
As you can see from the pictures below it has a gorgeous finish once you blend it out.
(shade is lighter than my hands as I have tan on so please excuse that)

My overall thoughts

I actually cannot say enough good things about this Foundation I am completely in love with it! The finish it gives my skin I can't even begin to explain, I have a lot of texture and this covers it up very well! It has became my new favourite affordable Foundation In the matter of weeks. I get most of the day out of this Foundation it doesn't go oily or patchy on my skin at all. I am very impressed with wet n wild! They have upped their game and did an amazing job, I totally recommend you guys trying it and if it doesn't work for you well hey it only cost €7 so you won't feel bad about spending that kind of money as you would if you spent €30 on a Foundation you ended up hating, I definitely recommend giving it a go!! It gets a massive thumbs up for me.

That's all for now guys.
Be sure to let me no if any of you purchase this and if it works for you or not, I'd love to get feedback on what everyone else thinks of it...
Anyways thank you for reading

Let's Talk - Oily Skin

Skincare is so important, if want good skin you must look after it! It's also so important before any makeup application if you want to have a flawless base and to make your makeup last all day this plays the biggest role.

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to do in-dept posts about each and every skin type, everything you need to know about your skin type, how to care for it, and what products I would recommend that work for that skin type, so I really hope you guys enjoy and this helps you out, today's post will be all about OILY SKIN

Oily skin is caused by overactive sebaceous glands, which means that it produces more oil than normal. This oil can be heredity and can be affected by many things such as diet, hormone levels, stress etc.
Oily skin has very enlarged pores. It feels greasy and looks very shiny. If you have oily skin you will be prone to acne breakouts and blackheads

Caring for your skin

Everyday Morning Skincare

Step 1 - CLEANSE
Always cleanse your face in the morning before you apply any makeup. This will remove all the dirt off your face from the night before.

Step 2 - TONE
Once you have dried your face after cleansing use an appropriate toner, It removes the excess dirt and oil that your cleanser did not pick up.

Step 3 - MOISTURISER
Most important step in any skincare, even if you have oily skin you must moisturiser, just use an oil free one.

Everyday Night Time Skincare

Step 1 - CLEANSE
If you have makeup on from that day, you dont always have to use a face wipe to remove it, it is actually healthier for your skin to remove any makeup by cleansing not with a face wipe as face wipes can be harsh on the skin.

Step 2 - TONE
This will take off the excess makeup that is has sank within your pores.

Step 3 - SERUM
A serum will help reduce oil, Believe it or not serums and oils are actually great for oily skin because oil eliminates oil. Try to use a serum most nights before going to bed

Step 4 - MOISTURISER
again use an oil free one.

Every 3 - 4 day Night Time Skincare

Step 1 - CLEANSE
Cleanse like you normally would.

Step 2 - EXFOLIATE
This should be done every 3 to 4 days to remove any dead skin. Do not do this everyday as an Exfoliant can be very harsh on the skin and can make the become sensitive.

Step 3 - TONE
After you wash your exfoliant off, go in with a toner to help remove the excess dirt and exfoliant that was left on the skin.

Step 4 - MASK
For oily skin it is more beneficial to use a clay mask and to use it once or twice a week. A face mask will pull out all the dirt from under your skin and clean out your pores.

Step 5 - TONE
After the mask is off tone your face so it will allow all your pores to close.

Step 6 - SERUM
As I said above try to apply serum as often as you can because it will help reduce oil and use especially after applying a lot of products on your skin.

Step 7 - MOISTURIZER
After putting so much product on your skin you need to apply a good oil free moisturiser to put hydration back into the skin.

Step 8 - EYE CREAM
If your young you should still use an eye cream because around your eyes the skin is much thinner, and needs to cared for just like the rest of your skin.

Tips
• If you want to control your skin you must carry out a good skincare routine which should be done morning and night.
• Gels and Lotions are best for oily skin.
• Always wash hands before cleansing
• Use appropriate products for your skin type
• Wash your face with warm water.
• Face mask 2 times a week.
• Face Scrub 3-4 times a week.

Skincare Advice
• Drink plenty of water, im sure all of you would know already that water is the best thing for your skin and your body, but if you did not know water helps to detoxify and remove waste, so if you want good healthy skin make sure you get at least 8 glasses of water a day.

• Make sure you get a least 8 hours of sleep a night because when you are sleeping new cells are formed, waste is removed (which is why you would go straight to the bathroom when you wake up) and then the skin prepares itself for the day ahead.

• Use a foundation or primer with an SPF everyday!!! if not you can just use a sunscreen before your primer or foundation.

• Eat a healthy diet, make sure you get enough nutrients into your body. If you do not have a healthy diet then you cannot expect to have good skin. Eating to much sugar and greasey foods will always cause breakouts, but yes you should always treat yourself every once and while.
• If you suffer with Acne or very bad breakouts, go to your doctor and they should be able to help you to a certain extent like give you some acne medication.

Review | Flormar Anti Blemish Foundation

Hi everyone!

If you read my blog regularly then you know that I've been talking about the new flormar range already, I got some of their matte liquid lipsticks as soon as I seen them cause they were too pretty not to buy! And now iv just recently picked up their new foundation
Flormar Future Historical Anti Blemish Foundation
I have seen a few people raving about it so me being me needed to try it.

About the Foundation
This foundation is an oil free foundation, providing a smooth texture that helps to clear blemishes. It claims to promote healing and prevent breakouts while leaving the skin with a flawless finish. It is "enriched with special extracts with calming, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties"

I am an oily skinned girl like most of you probably already know, and I suffer with breakouts a lot and have some texture that bothers me so much! And knowing that this is an anti Blemish Foundation just warms my heart.. I always try so many foundations but I am beyond fussy with them because of my skin, I am 100% committed to Mac Prolong Wear Foundation but it's €36 and I hate wearing it as my everyday foundation because it runs out so quickly and then iv to buy another one just as I literally only bought it, so I'm always on the look out for a cheaper alternative.

I purchased this in my local pharmacy a couple of weeks ago and have been trying it out ever since. I got it in golden beige because i normally have tan on and it was the best colour that matched the tan i wear, the colour of this Foundation kind of reminded me of my mac prolong wear Foundation.

I like this Foundation, I think it has a very good coverage and it covers up texture and blemishes very well, the only thing I don't like about it is that I get very oily after a while of wearing it, which is such a let down because other than it is good. I think it's so good for us girls who do suffer with blemishes because it really does help with them, Iv been wearing this for the past week and iv noticed my skin is actually very clear lately, my texture isn't half as bad as it was and I have not gotton 1 spot or blemish since using this and my skincare routine has not changed so I do think this foundation is playing a part in helping my skin. So with that being said I am impressed with this Foundation, I just hate the way I get very oily after about 5 hours of wear but that's nothing blotting sheets and powder won't fix!

Overall
I think its good and I will still wear it but more so on days where I know I won't be doing much so my oils won't seep through it, i love how it is good for your skin because a lot of foundations can be very hard on the skin and lead to breakouts but this one is so great for protecting the skin. I think if you are someone who has normal or combination skin who only gets slightly oily in the T zone you would very much enjoy this Foundation.
It retails at around €12 euro and be purchased in most penny's or from other flormar stock lists.

That's all for now guys
Thanks so much for reading
