2017 Makeup Favourites

Hi my loves
First blog post of 2018! who's excited about this year ? I definitely am, This is going to be my year.
What a year 2017 has been for the beauty industry, It keeps getting bigger and better.
I wanted to share everything makeup I have been obsessed with throughout the year.

Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Palette
One of my all time favourite purchases of 2017 had to be this bad boy.
The Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette, if you do not know who Jaclyn Hill are you living under a rock ? She is one of the biggest beauty you-tuber Ever!! I cant even begin to explain my love for this eye shadow palette, The pigmentation of this is insane. I like all the other Morphe palettes but the pigmentation wouldn't be 100% in them. But this palette on the other hand is outstanding, i knew it would be good because Jaclyn seems to put her heart and soul into what she does but i was not expecting to love it as much as I do. I use this everyday without doubt, it is really the perfect palette in my opinion. It has so many neutral and dark shades and a nice little pop of colour in the corner, i personally don't really use blues or purples but there great to have in this palette for when you want to challenge yourself to something different & also look at them!! For €45 it is worth every penny.

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation
If you read my blog often then I'm sure you would of came across my review on this bad boy, I'm not going to say much about it here so check out my full review here instead.

Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer
I purchased the travel sized version of this because I wasn't sure if it was going to work for me and I did not want to pay €32 for it to be honest. But I love this primer, it's probably the best one I have tried for my oily skin. When I use this primer with either my Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation Or Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation, My makeup is pretty much perfect for the day like the whole day!!! So I am 100% purchasing the normal sized version.

Penny's PS... Highlight in Brunch Club
2017 was Penny's/Primark year wasn't it? The amount of amazing beauty products they brought out!! Highlighters being one of the best products, and I cannot tell you guys how much i adore this highlight, if you have it then you know that it is incrediably pigmented, for €3? I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. I use this nearly everyday now, and I just love the glow it gives. Worth the purchase.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector In Opal
Another travel sized product I purchased because I was afraid I wouldn't like it, I never seen any of the Becca products in person, so I wanted to be safe and get a little one to try. This is so fab! perfect highlight for when Im wearing tan and want a pop of highlight. I'm not to sure how much this was I think it is around €16 or €17.

Penny's PS... Primer Water
Complete dupe for the Smashbox Primer Water, and this only cost's €3. It makes my skin feel very refreshed and hydrated. I personally think these kind of sprays are great for someone with dry skin, because it is so good at prepping the skin but also throughout the day, because I am oily I only like using this before I apply my makeup and after I was my face as it brings my skin back to life.

The Original RCMA No Colour Powder
When Kathleen Lights said this was one of her faves, and she used it the whole time, I wanted it so bad!!! I only realised a few months ago that beauty bay stocks RCMA products, so I got this straight away. It really helps keep my oils from coming through my makeup, that was one thing I noticed about it straight away, I bake my under eyes and my nose with this because my nose goes extremely oily after about 5 hours, and it is amazing at keeping my nose matte!! The only thing about this powder is it does leave a slight white cast so if you are going somewhere that you know you'll be taking pictures at, don't use it. It isn't half as bad as other loose powders but it is definitely something you would notice especially if you are a makeup artist. I have to say though I love this powder and I will definitely be repurchasing it.

Penny's PS... Custom Glow Liquid Highlighter
You guys I cannot cope with this highlighter!!!!!! Oh my god, by far the best liquid highlighter EVER! The pigmentation of this is insane. You know when you put on a liquid highlighter before you put on your foundation and when you put your foundation on it pretty much covers everything but with this no matter how full coverage the foundation you can always see this pecking through. This highlight comes in two more colours, but this one was the only one I liked, only €5 you need it!!!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I don't really have much to say about this bronzer as it is pretty much everyone favourite and one of the best bronzer's in the beauty industry. And It is one of Benefit's best selling products too.. I have mine around 2 months now and I use this everyday without fail and I still have a good bit left, It works on most skin types too. Great product to have in your makeup kit.

Penny's/Primark PS... Brow Fibre Gel
Another killer product from Penny's. I like brow mascara type brow products but I prefer gel brow products that are in a pot, I find them easier to work with. I picked this up when it first came out just wanted to try it. only cost around €2.50 - €3. One word for this product Amazing..... I have decent enough brows (I think anyway) but I always need to fill them in, with this one the other hand fills them in and makes them look really thick and full. I absolutely adore this product, its been one of my overall favourites this  year.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation
This is my holy grail foundation, I've been using this for most of this year and I have to say I am  obsessed with it. I have slightly larger pores and quiet a few imperfections on my skin, which does not bother me now that I'm older but when I wear makeup, I want it to be completely flawless and this is exactly what this foundation does. Covers everything! If your oily this will keep your oils at bay for majority of the day, It is quiet heavy if you put too much on. So what I do is apply a little bit to a brush and rub it all over my face and try to spread it as much as I can, when i have done that I'll put another bit on my brush and pat it all into my skin, so that it melts into the skin. This foundation cost €35

Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions Palette
Another product from Huda Beauty that I have Obsessed with this year, I have a full Review with swatches on my blog already, so instead of me writing about it again you can just check out that post here

Wet & Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick
Wet & Wild is one of the most affordable brand in makeup. There products start from around €1.50 (not 100% sure though) And a lot of there products are so good!! These lipsticks being one of them.
The shade range in Ireland isn't that great and this one was the only one that appealed to me and  This liquid lipstick is better than some high end ones out there. The lasting power of this is great, you would get hours out of it.

NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner In Club Hopper
This is one of the best lip liner if not the best! Nyx do amazing lip products and these lip liners are one. This colour on the other hand is the perfect dark colour in my opinion. I always line my lips with the Penny's/Primark in dessert sand, and then I outline my lips with this liner to darken it up and look more defined. If you are looking for a good dark lip liner this is it!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe-Herbs and Rosewater
Everyone raves about Mario Badescu, I however never gravitated towards this brand. Out of nowhere I just said I'd try one of their facial sprays, and It has been one of the best buys of 2017 for me. I apply this after I wash my face and before I apply my makeup, my skin feels so refreshed and awake. It smells so good too! I highly recommend this product.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

The BEST purchase of 2017 hands down....... I have no clue where to start with this product but let me tell you, you guys need this palette! The pigmentation is just insane, the colours are amazing and it is just overall the best eye-shadow palette I have ever used. Its time for me to purchase a new one as my one is just not usable anymore as I've barely any shades left it in. The best present I have ever gotten.

Sosu Highlighter Kit
This has been my ride or die highlighting palette throughout 2017. Suzanne Jackson did a great job on this palette. There are 6 fab shades so there will be at least one shade that will suit you. This is a great palette to have a in kit and great for a makeup artist to have. In my opinion it is worth the €30.

Inglot 6ss Brush
Do I have to say much about this brush? I'm sure 99% of you guys reading this have this or already know it's one of the best blending brushes. Inglot is one of my favourite brands but I have never owned a brush by them until about 2 months ago, I've seen so many people rave about it and I just wanted it myself, and I am so glad I purchased it, fits perfectly into the crease and blends everything together. One of my must haves for my kit and myself. It is a bit more on the pricier side at €20 but 100% worth the money.

Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour Brush
This is a contour brush but I use this for foundation and honestly it's the best brush I have tried for my foundation. If you know and love Plouise then you all would know that she uses these kind of brushes for foundation too. I personally think this brush helps to melt the foundation into your skin and doesn't leave any of them streaky marks as when you rub the foundation in, patting is your way to a flawless base and so is this brush...

Blank Canvas E44
I am obsessed with Blank Canvas brushes.
This brush is perfect to blend black to the lower lash line and to the top lash line as it's so small, its fits and blends to both lash lines. Super affordable too, only €7.99

Blank Canvas E37
I was never a fan of little bullet brushes until this one. It packs the colour onto the eye so well and because it's so small it fits perfectly to the outer corner of my eye, I find with this brush you don't need to blend the colour, once you pat the colour onto the eye it looks so good so you don't even need to blend it out.. Life saver at €6.99

Blank Canvas F28
I think this is a powder/contour brush but I actually use this brush for highlighting and it is my favourite brush to highlight with! I use to love fan brushes until this beauty came into my life, I only ever this use now and it is just incredible. Best €8.99 I've ever spent.

Blank Canvas F40
This is a small tapered contour brush, so it really gets into the hallows of the cheeks. It is so soft and does a fantastic job at blending the contour into the skin. Priced at €14.99

and that is my 2017 Favourites only makeup related, If you want to me do another post on hair care, skincare, tan etc let me no and I will get on that straight away.
