Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation claims to be a high coverage foundation, easy to apply, hides imperfections & has a soft focus filter finish.
This foundation dries to a matte finish, but looks luminous and not drying on the skin.
With over 30 shades in the range you will definitely find a shade for you.
When I first seen this foundation, I wasn't like oh my god I need but I was very intrigued with it. So I watched Lauren Curtis Review on Youtube and then NikkiTutorials review and it was enough for me to go and buy it. I purchased mine off Cult Beauty it was £32 which makes it €36 which is good considering Mac foundations and Estee Lauder foundations are around the same.
The Packaging
When I opened my package, I was surprised by the size of it, it is a very nice sized foundation. Packaging wise it would be like Nars weightless foundation but it is a plastic bottle so if you dropped it, it wouldn't break (thank god I'm forever letting all my makeup fall)
I am obsessed with the packaging of the bottle, I love that there is black at the bottom and it fades up to the middle, you can see the colour of the foundation too and it is a pump bottle!
I personally think she done a great job at designing it, it's so unique.
In the foundation box itself you get a free little sample of the primer which is an absolute amazing idea! Because it means you can try the primer before buying the full size and at least it gives you an idea to if you would like it or not and if is worth the money.
So what do i make of this foundation ???
I am obsessed !!!!!!!! This foundation is the best foundation I have ever used, better than Mac and Inglot. I cannot begin to tell you guys how good this foundation is but I have to.
I have been using it all week since i got it, so I could give you guys a good review on it.
I have worn it to work and on a night out so i think its fair to say i put this foundation to the test.
First of all I still have not used the primer, just because I wanted to test it with my favourite primer which is the Makeup Forever Mattifying Primer. However I will test it out and let you guys know over on my Snapchat (lyndseysbeauty) in a week or two
The shade I got was Baklava 34OG, It was hard to pick a shade online because you don't exactly know if its going to be too light, too dark etc. I just really chanced my arm with picking the shade, I picked the one that I thought would go with tan as I nearly always have it on. And thank god this colour matched me. This colour is a good colour for tan but only very dark tan as that is what I like, I like to be very dark, so if your someone who only wears a light layer or medium tan, i would recommend going down one or two shades from this shade.
It does exactly what it says it does, It is the most full coverage foundation I have used, Completely covers my pores which barely ever happens with any other foundations because I have larger pores.
It has a matte finish, which is what i love most about it as I have always told you guys I have the oiliest skin ever and this is great at reducing the oils. It really just leaves a flawless base.
As you can see from the pictures above this foundation covers pretty much everything!!!!
Now for the lasting power, this is the best part! This foundation lasts me the whole day, and I am not joking. This lasts me through the busiest days in work and the whole day at a christening and on a night out. On a work day I put my makeup on around 8 in the morning (when i do decided to wear makeup) and it lasts me right up to about 7 or 8 in the evening depending on when I take it off and every time I do it is always pretty much perfect. On Saturday I went to a christening so I had my makeup on at around 11 and guys it lasted me till 2 that morning and I went to a club, drank all day and only powdered my face once!!!!! Does that not tell you everything? I can never do that like ever I always end up fixing my makeup a good few times during the day.
I really am in love with this foundation, The coverage is amazing, The lasting power is unreal, The finish of it is perfect, I honestly think Huda Beauty has bought out the foundation that all of us makeup addicts want and need, I am definitely getting more shades for me when I don't have a tan on and I am definitely getting some for my makeup kit!!!!
I hope this review was some what helpful to you guys, and if you are thinking of purchasing it I am telling you, you need it! but go to Brown Thomas if you are unsure of what shade you would be, but if you know then online would be fine for you.
