Penny's/Primark Makeup Brushes
- Pennys/Primark are slaying the Beauty Industry lately, From Makeup Products to Makeup Brushes to Eyelashes to Fake Nails they have so many amazing products that are very affordable. I decided to pick up some of the Brushes and test them out seen as they are so cheap I wanted to see if they were good because they are so affordable. I've been testing the brushes out for a couple weeks, I'm giving my honest opinion on each brush and if there worth purchasing. These each range from €1.50 - €4.00 depending on the brush and the size. and Look at how pretty they are! To me they don't look as cheap as they actually are.
Double Ended Powder & Blush Brush
Double ended power and blush brush, Both ends are so soft and fluffy!!!! I use both sides of this brush for powder. I use the smaller end to set under my eyes and the larger end to set the rest of my face. I was very impressed with how this brush applied the powder to my face and how soft the brush actually was.
Overall - I think this brush is definitely worth buying especially for anyone who does not want to splash out on a powder brush, considering how cheap this brush is, it is totally worth purchasing. I love the smaller end of this brush it works wonders for setting under the eyes.
Double Ended Stippling Brush
Double ended stippling brush is not exactly a stippling brush, both ends are more of a flat top kabuki brush, but this brush is good for blending out concealer or any other liquid products. I used the smaller end to blend out my concealer under my eyes, It did do a pretty good job but I found my beauty blender works so much better and I would much prefer it. I used the larger end to blend out my contour and it blended out nicely with this brush I just had to go back in my beauty blender and make sure there were no harsh lines and that it wouldn't wipe away any of the product.
Overall - It did an okay job on blending both my concealer and cream contour but I do prefer my beauty blender its just so quick and easy compared to this brush it takes a bit more time to blend it out properly. If you don't like using any beauty sponges, I would recommend this brush as it is only €2.50. But if your looking for something that will blend out your concealer and cream contour I would totally recommend spending them money on a beauty blender or a high end makeup brush for this purchase.
Kabuki Brush
This Kabuki Brush is great for just setting the whole face because it has a large head that it covers much more of the face then the powder brush mentioned above. I set my whole face with this but there is nothing to special about this brush, I didn't notice anything great when I applied my powder just that it set all foundation and concealer.
Overall - It did work as I said above there is nothing special this kabuki brush, it didn't make much difference to my makeup but for €2 this brush isn't going to have any magical powers, so you cant really go wrong with buying it and it wont break the bank.
Contour Brush
This is a contour brush, but I used it for my blush instead and it worked so well! I just applied this on the apple of my cheeks and it blended the powder blush out very nicely, I have not tried it for contour but I'm sure it does work because it is slightly angled and it would fit perfectly into the hallows of the cheeks and it is so soft.
Overall - I really like this brush for applying my blush I use it every time I apply my makeup, this one gets a 10/10 from me. Only €2 in all Pennys/Primark stores.
Strobing Brush
When I seen this I thought it would be so good for blending out concealer, or any liquid product and not for strobing exactly. I did use this brush to apply cream highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones, and I like how it turned it. It blended out the cream highlighter very nicely and was quiet easy to use. I also used it to blend out concealer too and I like how it applied to the skin at first, but I did find it was kind of rubbing off the concealer after a few seconds , so I had to go back in with beauty blender to make sure it didn't rub all the concealer off and make it patchy.
Overall - I really like this brush for applying cream highlighter or liquid highlighter, it blend its out nicely and leaves a nice glow to the skin. but this does not work for concealer it just rubs the foundation from underneath the concealer off as well as the concealer. For me it wouldn't be a staple brush in my makeup brushes, Because I don't apply cream highlighter so If your like me and like/apply cream/liquid highlighter then do not purchase it, it will just be taking up space in your brush holder.
Highlighting Fan Brush
Ugh there are no words to describe my love for this brush. When I seen this in Penny's in Blanchardstown I grabbed it straight away. I was in serious need of a new highlighting brush and I am so glad I got this one. If you have not got this brush just go get it and then you'll understand how amazing it is!!! It applies highlighter so amazingly and blends out really evenly so it isn't just like a harsh line of highlight.
Overall - Just go get this brush and then you'll see what I'm talking about and it is only €2....
Double End Angled Eyebrow Brush
I love this Double Ended Angle Eyebrow Brush!!! One end has a brow brush to brush the hairs in place and the other end has a angled liner brush to apply your brow product. I think this brush is great for the eyebrows, the angled end is nice&slim so it works wonders. I use it every day now, its a great brush to have in your collection.
Overall - This brush is only €1.50 and its so good! Need a new eyebrow brush I would totally recommend this one, it does a great job on the brows, cannot go wrong with the price at all.

Smokey Eye Shadow Brush
This was the very first brush I ever purchased in Penny's, It was also one of their first brushes in their P.s brush range. It has a fluffy domed ended on my one end and an angle liner brush on the other end. I don't particularly like this brush for eyeshadow or liner, the fluffy end to this brush is very soft I just found it very difficult to get it to blend out nicely without making the shadows look patchy or rubbing the whole eyeshadow off the lid completely . I like to use the eyeshadow end to blend concealer out on my eyelid, it works really well for this purpose. I really do not like the liner end of this brush at all! I personally think its too wide to apply a winged liner, it would work for filling in the eyebrows I just prefer the actual Pennys/Primark eyebrow brush as its has a much smaller and thinner brush head and is easy to apply the product.
Overall - I don't like this brush for eyeshadow at all, it just doesn't work for me. It is okay to blend out concealer on the fluffy domed end of this brush but that is about it. Other than that I never use it, I forget I even have this brush half the time.
Angled Eyeliner Brush
I just picked up this angled eyeliner brush to try it out. The brush is slightly bent to an angle that makes it easier to fit into the eye more comfortably. Because this brush was only €1.50. Honestly I wasn't expecting it to be good considering how cheap it was, but because I was so impressed by most of the Penny's/Primark Brushes I wanted to give this brush a chance. It worked better than I expected, my first application of winged liner with this brush turned out very nice I was quiet impressed with this brush!! but after I washed it the hairs all started to separate and made it so much harder to apply any liner to the eyes without getting it everywhere, but other than that I actually liked it.
Overall - Seen as it was only €1.50 it worked really well for the first couple of applications, after being washed it wasn't as good but if you know any way of getting all the brush hairs to stick together in an eyeliner brush then you should purchase this one, it is good for how affordable it is.
Lip Brush
I thought this little lip brush was so cute when I seen it because its all rose gold. I didn't have a lip brush I normally just apply my lipstick from the actual tube so I needed to get one to blend out my lipsticks when I do an ombre lip and this one works great, there is nothing spectacular about it but its only a lip brush so any ones kind of do the job.
Overall - I like this brush to blend out my light lipstick into my darker lipsticks for an ombre lip so I would recommend purchasing it if your in need for a lip brush, it does what any other lip brush would and because its so affordable it does work great.

So overall these brushes get a big thumbs up for me, for the price they are amazing quality and not to mention how soft they are! Most brushes that are under €4 start to scratch the face because the brush hairs are so cheap but not these Pennys/Primark ones, iv used and washed mine a lot since I got them and they are still perfect, there still just like new and none of the hairs fall out of the brushes either which is great. I would totally recommend these to anyone who doesn't want to break the bank on brushes but wants good quality brushes and also for any girls that are starting to do makeup as a job they would be great starter brushes for a kit because of the quality you get for such an amazing price.
Anyway's thanks for reading
