If you haven't heard, seen or tried this tan then you must be living under a rock, It has taking our beauty industry by storm! And why I am only doing this review now after many many months of it being out I have no idea.
I have only recently purchased the medium tan because of all the hype surrounding it I needed to try it for myself. The reason why I held back for so long from purchasing it was because of the price, I really didn't want to spend €20-25 on a tan I didn't know I was going to like or not because tan's are such a hit or miss kind of beauty product, either there amazing or not good at all. I was so happy and in love with my Tan goddess tan by Babydoll Cosmetics for only €10. (you can see there is a good different in the price) so that's why I never purchased it for ages.
I ran out of tan goddess tan and went to purchase it again and I a few nights after I went to apply it and it came out green straight from the bottle! I was not happy but that's a story for a different day. I brought the tan back and the women who served me was so nice about it, she let me decide if I wanted my money back or to pick another tan, because I already had paid €10 for tan goddess tan meant I got that off any other tan so it was the perfect time to finally pick up the Bellamianta tan.
A little information about the brand and their products
Bellamianta is an Irish company based and manufactured in Ireland !!! They provide clean, nutritious and amazing tanning products with nothing but good clean ingredients.
They state on their website 'The formula has built in nourishment, hydration and is extremely fast drying to produce a streak free, beautiful, summer ready tan'.
They claim that their tan is free from parabens, any harsh chemicals and alcohol leaving it kind and easy to apply on the skin. It is also dry's in 60 seconds and has no overwhelming odour like most tans.
Sounds like a dream tan right? could it be too good to be true?
Honestly I had very high expectations with this tan because so many people rave about it, and love it, I was hoping it was going to be magic in a bottle.
Okay so when I first tried this tan out I literally went crazy! It went on so beautifully and left me super tanned (which I loved) , It had no smell to it at all I felt like I was having a seriously good dream because I absolutely hate the smell of tan it makes me kind of sick and to actually try a tan that doesn't smell, just leaves me speechless. And it also dried super quick It didn't feel sticky you know the way most tans do well this one didn't! so that meant I didn't have to wait long to put back on my clothes. When I washed it off the next morning I was amazed by the results, it wasn't streaky or patchy at all, it was nice and even and was such a good colour! I was honestly to delighted with myself and that there was a tan like that actually existed
Now Iv been using it for about a month now and my opinion of this tan has really changed. As I stated above when I first used this tan I was amazed I thought god had answered all of our girls prays but it turns out that I am not feeling the same way as I did at the start , which I am devastated over now because I really did fall in love with it the first time around. Now when apply it its goes on the same way as always does perfectly fine, but after 2 or 3 days it goes so patchy on me, and I don't understand why, I moisturise my body as much as I can but not everyday as some days I could be busy and by the time I'm home be too tired to do any of that, I cant wear a tan that leaves me patchy only a couple of days after putting it on.
* Overall I am a little disappointed in this tan because I had such high hopes for it, the only thing bad about it that I don't like is that it goes patchy on me.. Its actually killing me to write this because literally everyone and there mother loves this tan, maybe it just me and my skin or maybe I'm doing something wrong I just don't no. I think I'm going to get the dark mousse tan and try that one out, hopefully that will be much better for me, I'm sure a lot of you girlies reading this love this tan but everyone's different I just wish I was one of those girls that loved it but I am ridiculously picky.
