Worlds Most Pigmented/Best Eyeshadow Palette ? | Juvias Place

Hey everyone, welcome back to another one of my blog post.
 I know I say every time I write a new one 'oh i'll be back with more every week and I'll be getting back into properly' but the truth is I just never have the time anymore, I have so many great ideas for my blog and what direction I want to take it in, but having a full time job is hard for me to find the time , on my days off i want to spend it with family and friends not in front of a laptop screen So I'll be posting whenever I get a chance too, which I'm hopping will be every couple of weeks.

If your a fan of nikkitutorials well then I am sure you all know of this brand she raves about, she claims they are the most pigmented eyeshadow's ever made. When I heard Beauty Bay had them in stock, of course I had to purchased at least one of them, I picked up The Mini Masquerade Palette for €36.
I am putting this palette to the test and I have to  say I have very high expectations for it.

The packaging on all of Juvia's palettes are so creative and completely different than anything in the makeup industry. The palette comes in a cardboard box, Both the box and palette have the same design. The palette itself is cardboard, would be very like the Kylie Jenner Bronze Palette, or the Penny's/Primark Pure Glow Highlighting Palette so it doesn't contain a mirror, which is something that doesn't bother me at all, i never use the mirrors in palettes anyway.
Each palette is different but all have the same concept, Apparently all the Juvia's palettes are inspired by a tribe/era in history.
The Mini Masquerade palette however was inspired by African Festivities, the costumes worn were always bold which is why there are more bold colours in this palette than neutral.

Can we all just take a second to stare and appreciate these colours though ??
The selection of colours are so different but very unique , there is something in this palette for everyone.
There are a range of different finishes too, it has some matte, metallic, shimmer and glitter which all feel slightly different.
The metallic shades are so buttery and creamy, They are super pigmented a little goes a very long way with them.
The Matte shades however feel very different than the rest, they are a slightly more rough, Not as smooth of a texture. Nor are they as pigmented.

Colours from left to right (on the palette) - Chi, Mali, Dalia & Zola. 

Chi is a deep mattallic blue.
Mali is a light green with a metallic finish.
Dalia is a true metallic sky blue.
Zola is a aquamarine blue with a metallic finish.


S e c o n d  R o w

Colours from left to right (on the palette) - Makeda, Zobo, Calabar, Bori. 

Makeda is very royal purple with a metallic finish.
Zobo is a deep matte purple to pink shade.
Calabar is a burgundy shimmer shade.
Bori is a hot pink with a hint of golden glitter.

T h i r d  R o w

Colours from left to right (on the palette) - Giza, Burkina, Cairo & Ada.
Qiza is a beautiful metallic champagne sliver shade. One of my absolute favourites in this palette.
Burkina is a warm matte brown.
Cario is a burnt orange which has a hint of golden glitter.
Ada is a deep matte brown/wine shade.


L a s t  R o w

Colours from left to right (on the palette) - Dahia, Zulu, Casablanca & Fulani.
Dahia is a metallic gold.
Zulu is a light chocolate brown.
Casablanca is a beautiful metallic/glitter golden copper shade, this one is by far the best in the palette.
Fulani is a dark chocolate brown.


As you can see from the swatches, the shades just speak for themselves, the quality of them are outstanding.
Although, I'm not too crazy about the matte shades, I think they are lacking pigmentation. They do no compare to the rest of the shades in this palette. They do not perform as well i was hopping. I was honestly expecting them to be so pigmented but they definitely let me down, I cannot get them to work at all, they just blend out into the lightest of colours, the colour you see in the palette are completely different to when they are swatched. I definitely prefer the Anastasia Beverly Hill's matte shadows without a doubt,

Overall - As i said at the start i had very high expectations for this palette and it wasn't exactly what i thought it would be but majority of the shades i am impressed with, it is such a great palette and definitely one every makeup artist should have in there kit because there are so many metallic shades to choose from in the one. 

I am so impressed with how the metallic/glitter shades apply onto the eyes, they go on like a dream and you don't have to wet your brush which is amazing as most eyeshadow's that have a metallic finish need something to help them apply onto the lid, but these just glide one, that is my most favourite thing about this palette, not the colours or the pigmentation but how they apply on the eye. Incredible, I would definitely say it's worth the money. I have bought some palettes for near enough the same price and they don't even compare to this one. Lets just say the mattes let me down but i don't care because they rest of the shades make up for that.
