The Key to Clear Beautiful Skin

One thing all of us people suffer with is breakouts and bad skin every now and again. Here is my advice and tips on what u should and shouldn't be doing to your skin to get a healthy glow.

Drink plenty of water

- As you all know water is the best thing to keep you healthy inside and out. Water is one of the best things to keep the skin clear and glowing, try to drink around 2 litres of water a day.

Have a good diet

- Eating lots of sugary, salty, greasy foods is not going to help your skin in any way. These cause breakouts, so if you have a bad diet and your skin isn't clear then maybe its the bad foods that could be causing this problem. If you want your skin to be clear and glowing, eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and nuts. Set yourself a good daily healthy routine and then treat yourself every once and a while.

Wash off makeup before Bed

- Wash makeup of every single night!! Do not sleep with your make up on, it is so bad for the skin as it sinks in to skin and clogs up your pores causing breakouts and blackheads.

Get a good nights sleep

- Not getting enough sleep can cause your skin to become tired and dull. If you want healthy skin try getting enough sleep, at least 8 hours every night.

Cleanse, tone and moisturize am and pm

- Cleaning your skin is the most important! you cannot expect to have clear healthy glowing skin without keeping a good skincare routine. Get into a routine of washing your face every morning with a good cleanser, toner and moisturiser. and then doing the same every night before bed.

Exfoliate and scrub once or twice a week

- Doing this every day will only dry out your skin, because an exfoliate and scrub are quiet harsh on the skin. I recommend doing these once or twice a week to get rid of any dead skin and dirt within the skin.

Use a face mask once a week

- A face mask really detoxs the skin, so that is why it is only recommended to do so once a week, as it can cause the skin to become irritated and sensitive if done every day.

Get a facial
- Getting a facial of a professional every once and a while is very good for  the skin. Facials deep clean the skin and get rid of the dirt buried within your pores. They bring out the dirt from underneath your skin and will leave you with some pimples here and there but that's how you know it worked and within a few days they will disappear and your skin will look and feel amazing!

Exercise

 - Exercise is important to staying healthy and keeping your skin clear, exercise for 15 to 30 minutes daily to keep the toxins in your body at bay and to maintain clear skin.

Change your pillow case

- Oil from your hair will get onto your pillowcase as you sleep, them oils will then sink into your skin. So try to change your pillow case once a week.

Don't stress about your spots

- Nothing worse than waking up, looking in the mirror and seeing you have a huge spot on an important day! automatically you become so stressed out about it and wonder how your going to cover it. but if you do this, it will only cause more spots to appear, so don't stress about them! Its okay to get them every once and while.

Clean your makeup brushes

- This is something a lot of girls do not do. You should always clean your makeup brushes after a certain amount of uses, but especially if you have a break out. Always wash your brushes before applying makeup after you have already used them while having a breakout, this will help to prevent them from spreading.
- Baby shampoo is the best to use on your makeup brushes because its mild and wont damage the brush hairs.

Hope this is helpful to you guys

Review - EX1 Foundation

I have been dying for this foundation since forever and I finally got it for my birthday!! I've seen this foundation all over YouTube and heard such good things about it, so obviously since I love makeup so much I had to try it out for myself.
I bought mine off lookfanastic.com for €15.95. Delivery was free and it took two weeks to arrive.

A little bit of information about this foundation

Ex1 Cosmetics Invisiwear Liquid Foundation helps to achieve a flawless complexion, concealing imperfections leaving them almost invisible.
ue colour pigment even out skin tone. Very lightweight foundation and easily blendable.
Oil and fragrance free, Non-comedogenic and Clinically and dermatologically tested

This foundation only has 5 colours to choose from and they all have a yellow/olive undertone to it so it wont work for you girlies that have a pink undertone. The colours range from F100 - F500. Its quiet hard to find the colour for you because its online, you can't match it to your face like you can in person, but when you go to purchase this foundation on the lookfanastic.com wedsite, they have a picture which compares the Ex1 foundations to MAC's NC foundations, so if you know what colour you are in the MAC foundation then you cohoose the Ex1 foundation that matches to your MAC colour. (picture is below)

I bought the colour F200 because I am NC 30-35 in Mac foundation and F200 was the shade for me. I was a bit weary of it incase if would be different in person but it the same colour of my MAC NC35. Thank god!
You can see the colour below and how nice it is blended out.

I've been trying this foundation out for a couple of weeks and I had really high expections for it after reading nothing but good reviews. But its not what I thought it was going to be, the only problem I have with it is it did not cover up my breakouts that well, I could still see some of the redness coming through and I prefer to have a full coverage foundation as I do not like putting too many layers on my skin, or Ill feel cakey but other than that though I think this foundation is pretty good!! It wears so well and lasts me the whole day without looking really oily. It blends out very nice an even and once its set with powder  its there for the day.

Overall I do like this foundation I just prefer my Mac prolong wear foundation, the coverage is something I can see pass because there is nothing a good conceal cant fix.. So if your thinking about purchasing it and like a medium coverage then you will love it for sure.

Hope this is helpful to some of you,

MY 21st BIRTHDAY :)

I turned 21 on the 28th of July !! and I had such an amazing weekend. My family really went all out to make it special for me and I am so grateful for everything they done and for everyone who gave me cards and wished me a happy birthday.

 My Birthday Weekend

Thursday

The day of my birthday was a Thursday and I spent the day getting pamper and going shopping.
I got my hair and nails done that morning, and then my Mam, Dad & little Brother brought me to Newbridge to get me birthday presents and spoilt me.

Friday

On the 29th which was a Friday, I had a little party at home just for family. I didn't want a big party because its to much fuss and money which I would not rather have to deal with. So because turning 21 is a big deal, my mam wanted to do something for me and get me a cake, we had a little family get together, which turned out to be a great night!!!

Saturday

All I wanted to do for my birthday was have a night away and go out somewhere different than the usual spot. On Saturday morning 5 of us went down to Waterford for the night, we stayed at the Viking hotel just outside of Waterford city. We were dying from the night before so we decided to stay in the hotel get some food and chill before heading out.

This is what I wore out in Waterford.
I am so in love with this playsuit, I got my whole outfit from Missguided!

- Playsuit - €46.55
- Shoes - €53.20

Party Makeup

This was the look I done for my little party at home, I went with a dramatic cut crease with both glitter and black winged liner, with a nude lip.
